do you have remove from my ford f150 when you are not towing njust need to you use the step to get into the truck bed

No, you don't have to remove the hitch extender and step # RP11006 when not towing it you don't want to. The only exception is if your state or local laws prohibit leaving accessories in the hitch when not in use. New York comes to mind.
