Recommended Replacement Bulldog A-Frame Trailer Jack for 1979 Trail-Rite Boat Trailer

Updated 03/30/2017 | Published 03/29/2017

Question:

Im replacing the stock a=frame jack on my 1979 Trail-Rite tandem boat trailer. Unfortunately, I dont know the make of the jack its welded on, has a side wind handle with 2 bevel gears at top and detachable caster wheel. Ideally, Id just replace the inner tube w/jack screw, but I doubt such is available? Would this model Bulldog with 5,ooo lb rating be a good replacement I believe trailer and boat weight approx. 3,500 lbs.

The Bulldog Round Top Wind A-Frame Jack # BD155032 referenced in your question is a great option for replacing the original jack on your 1979 Trail-Rite tandem boat trailer. This jack's 5,000 pound weight capacity is more than enough to handle the tongue weight of your 3,500 pound trailer and will provide a total lift of 15 inches, up to an extended height of 25-13/16 inches. This jack can be either welded or bolted onto any standard A-Frame trailer. If you need a new caster wheel, the Bulldog # BD500245 will work perfectly.

We do also offer a wide array of replacement trailer jack parts. I have attached a link that will take you to our selection for you to look through if you are able to find the brand or model of the jack you currently have.
