Question:

Will this rack fit on a 2017 KIA Soul Base flat roof? Total weight cap. is 165lbs? or is each bar that capacity to 330lbs? I also have manufacture mounting spots on roof, so I wont need to side straps right?

I have roof rack options for your 2017 Kia Soul that will use the factory mounting points on your roof, but all of the Rhino-Rack roof rack options use the clamps with the side straps.

If you want to stay around a similar price point as the discontinued Rhino-Rack Roof Rack, # RR82QR, then you will want to take a look at the Rhino-Rack consisting of # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK404. This roof rack has the same weight capacity of 165 lbs, which is the weight capacity for the entire roof rack, not per bar. This goes for all of the other roof rack systems for you Soul. Be sure to verify your vehicle's roof weight capacity in your owners manual before loading any gear. If your vehicle's roof capacity is lower, then that will be the limit.

One big advantage that this roof rack has over the Rhino-Rack roof rack you were looking at is that it has elliptical shape crossbars. This will dramatically reduce the amount of wind noise and resistance compared to the square crossbars.
