Question:

Is there any difference in the geometry of the Draw-Tite, Curt, or Hidden Hitch 2x2inch for a 2016 Volvo XC70? Just curious whether they all have the same ground clearance once installed. Thank you.

Draw-Tite hitch # 75916 and Hidden Hitch 87674 are identical in every way other than the stickers on them. But Hidden Hitch is actually going away as a brand. Curt hitch # 13266 has a similar design and all 3 hitches will be basically right below the rear fascia. The ground clearance for all of them will be essentially the same with only minute differences if any.

When we installed the Draw-Tite hitch on a 2016 Volvo XC70 it measured 14-1/4 inches from the ground to the top o the receiver opening. So to the bottom it would be about 12 inches. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.

If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

And for trailer wiring you can use # HM11143735 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle. I have linked a video showing how the wiring installs as well.
