I want to put a trailer wiring kit on my 2012 Mercedes ML. I thought I found the right splice free wiring kit but I dont know what to pick for the electric brakes as we will be pulling a small 2 horse trailer with electric breaks. can you let me know all the items I need?

The ZCI Trailer Wiring Harness part # 119250KIT will fit your 2012 Mercedes ML and provide the lighting functions. For braking you will need a brake controller and a 7-way. Since your vehicle is a bit more difficult to install a brake controller in we recommend the RF part # TK94FR which will only require you use the adapter part # 37185 to install the controller.
Basically you would just need to complete the 12 volt pin of the 7-way (which is the 1:00 position) and the controller will be ready to calibrate. You would need to use 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) through a breaker like part # 9510 and you would be set.
