wanting to install the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System Item # HM50002 my question is I only have the four pin trailer wire connector how would I go about installing this system so the reverse lights would activate the camera on my truck only having a four pin connector . will I need to get any harness adaptor ?

To use the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 you would need to splice into your reverse wire behind your tail light. You can absolutely use this hardwired way of installing this camera system. The easiest way to do this is to use a Quick Splice Wire Connector - 14-18 AWG (Qty 1) # SWC501925-1 and connect it to the reverse power wire near the tail light and connect the purple wire of the harness for the camera.
