The Reese Ram LED Lighted Vehicle Emblem # RP86619 use a 3-wire hookup. The three wires are white, brown and red, and these connect to, respectively, the ground, running light circuit and brake light circuit. If your vehicle has a 2-wire system, in which one wire is used for both the brake light and turn signal functions, install the included converter to ensure correct performance.
A circuit tester like # PTW2993, demonstrated in the linked video, helps identify what function each wire on the vehicle carries.
