Horsepower and Torque Boost on Edge Programmer for 2017 Ram 3500

Updated 02/23/2017 | Published 02/22/2017

Question:

Dodge has a 660, 800 and 900 torque cummins engine. Is the horsepower and torque numbers different with each engine. Ive heard the numbers are basically computer controlled by dodge....what numbers will I see with each truck? Im looking at a 3500 2017 4x4. But want to know the numbers your product adds to each option on the engine. Example is it 350 added torque on the 660 and then 125 added on the 900 OR is it 350 torque added to each meaning at high setting the 660 would have 1100 torque and the 900 would have 1300 torque. Please let me know how this works. Thank you.

I'm not exactly sure where your numbers in your example came from but I think you're referencing the Edge Comp # EP30301 which is not compatible with the 2017 Ram. It's for older models of the Ram with the 5.9L.

The two programmers that will work with the 2017 Ram 3500 are the Edge Juice with Attitude CS2 # EP31407 and # EP31507. The difference being the 5 inch color touch screen.

Here are the boost numbers you can gain with the 800 torque transmission on the 2017 Ram:

POWER LEVEL 1: 25 HP & 70 LB-FT
POWER LEVEL 2: 40 HP & 90 LB-FT
POWER LEVEL 3: 50 HP & 120 LB-FT
POWER LEVEL 4: 65 HP & 160 LB-FT
POWER LEVEL 5: 80 HP & 200 LB-FT
POWER LEVEL 6 (HOT UNLOCK): 100 HP & 300 LB-FT

With the 660 torque transmission (Manual) you'll get a little more of a boost and in turn you'll gain slightly less with the 900 torque.
