Troubleshooting Brake Controller 5535 with o.9 Flashing

Question:
Hooked up the 5535 to my 2000 GMC 2500 and PJ dump trailer. I can input gain and boost selections, but all I get after that is a flashing what looks like the top of digital 8 then a . and a 9 and a dot o.9.

The o.9 that you are seeing indicates that the controller has a weak ground but is sensing a trailer connection. Ensure the white wire of the controller is connected to a solid ground and you will see the controller start working properly.
