Question:

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75579 is a confirmed fit for your 2011 Volkswagen Routan and is a trailer hitch that I recommend for your vehicle. The hitch is confirmed to fit all models of the Routan, including those with Stow and Go seating.
It has a Class III rating and has a 2 inch receiver opening which will allow for a variety of hitch accessories. The Maximum Gross Trailer Weight is 4,000 lbs and it has a Maximum Tongue Weight of 400 lbs. Keep in mind that you will need to check your owners manual to see what the weight capacity is for you Routan. If it is less than what the hitch is rated for then you will be limited by your car's weight capacity.
If you are needing a ball mount and hitch ball, the Drop Ball Mount Kit # EBMK4 which comes with an adjustable hitch ball head is a great option. I've linked a help article on how to choose the right ball mount for you. If you are needing trailer wiring, I recommend using the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118490 by Tekonsha.
I have attached some demonstration videos for you as well.
