Question:
I have a 2017 ford escape titanium - it appears that the draw tight hitch is a simpler to install - 30 minutes versus 90 minutes? I have had racks put on in the past with good success. Is the Curt hitch better as for not as visible ? Last question will the 2016 draw tight fit the 2017 ? I want the best model as I intend on buying the car after the 3 year lease. thanks for help

The install times for these hitches on your 2017 Ford Escape vary depending on the style of the hitch. The difference between the Draw-Tite Hitch # 75758 and the Curt Hitch # C13186 that you asked about is that the Curt sits above the muffler, while the Draw-Tite sits below it; which is where that install time comes into play. The only part of the hitch that is visible on the Curt hitch is the receiver itself. I have attached two pictures for you to see-the first is the Draw-Tite and the second is the Curt.
If you are planning on just using this hitch for a bike rack, like the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR, I recommend using the Curt hitch. Even though the install time is a little bit longer, pretty much everything but the receiver itself is hidden. I think it's worth spending a little extra time for a more professional look.
