I’m ready to order the installation kit for my Silverado High Country 2500 2016 bed 6 ½’ .So you recommended a Reese kit # RP56001-53, on your web site refer to part # RP50066-58 or 56007-53 for my truck , all of them seem identical ,what is the difference, i do not want to make a mistake. For your 2016 Chevrolet 2500 HD with 6-1/2 Foot Bed, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # RP56001-53. These custom rails and brackets are a confirmed fit for your truck and are compatible with the Husky Slider. They are far easier to install with the outboard brackets. Only Reese offers this option. All of the hardware is included with this kit.

For your slider hitch, I recommend the Husky Silver Series 16K W 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ 10-16 Slider # HT31326-31196. I also suggest the Husky Lube Plate for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 10" Diameter, # HT34914.

These parts will work seamlessly together with your 2016 Chevrolet 2500 short bed.

The Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56001-53 have base rails that are 48 inches long x 1-7/8 inches tall. They are a newer style that is easier to install because the longer rails mount to the brackets on the outside of your truck frame. This kit is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 6-1/2 foot bed. I recommend this kit because it is an easier installation. The # RP50066-58 are the older style rail length that mount on the inside of your frame. This rail kit is also a confirmed fit for your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 6-1/2 foot bed. The # RP56007-53 are not a confirmed fit for your truck. You may be interested in the # 41157 that will give you an additional 7-way in the bed of your truck to make your wiring connection more accessible for your trailer.
