I tow a 1997 ford ranger that is fitted with a flat 4 pin connector. My motor home has a 5 way round vehicle connector Can I back feed the 4 way flat connector on my truck and have brake lights etc wit out re wiring the truck to have these lights

What you are proposing will not work, you will need the Vehicle to Vehicle Taillight Converter, part # 118158 and the Tail Light Isolating Diode System, part # 38955 to prevent feedback into the motorhome wiring system.
