Can the backup cameras be completely submerged without damage ?

The camera portion of Hopkins backup camera # HM50002 is not rated for submersion under water. What I recommend is the Swift Hitch wireless camera # 04928. It is not waterproof but you can mount the camera up higher so that it does not get submerged. I have linked a video review of this camera system for you.
