We are looking for a roof rack solution for our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder S series naked roof to carry our snowboard and skis in the winter months. What is your recommendations. Thank you.

The best way to go about transporting skis and snowboards on your 2014 Nissan Pathfinder is to install a roof rack on the Pathfinder's naked roof and then to that rack mount a ski and snowboard carrier. This option is most secure and versatile; it naturally costs more.
A good roof rack I can recommend is the Rhino-Rack Vortex system made of parts # RRVA150B-2, # RRRLKVA and # DK407. This rack uses black aerodynamic bars that make less noise than other shapes. On it you could install a ski/board carrier like the Rhino-Rack # RR576 which is shown in the linked video. It includes locks.

If you routinely take very long ski trips of many hundreds of miles you'll prefer the stability of the separate roof rack and carrier from Rhino-Rack.
