If your 2002 Chevy Silverado does not have a 7-Way trailer connector at the back then check up around the spare tire for a wiring harness. The harness will either be just blunt cut wires or there will be a round connector.
If there is a round connector you can install # C55515 and then use a light kit that plugs into the 4-Way such as # TLL9RK. If the truck already has a 7-Way you can use # 118384 to Tee into the 7-Way wiring and still use # TLL9RK.
If there are just blunt cut wires then the yellow wire is the left turn and brakes, dark green wire is the right turn and brakes, brown wire is for the taillights, and white is the ground. You can then use the light kit by just splicing the wires under the truck to the wiring on the lights.
The lights in the above mentioned kit hang on studs so you can place the studs where ever you need do and hang the lights from them.
