Recommended Back Up Camera for 2005 Dodge Ram

Question:

i have a 2005 dodge ram cummins 3500 quad cab dually with a long bed. i am looking for a good back up camera and dont want to spend 400 dollars. what do you have? I did look at the hopkins 50002. seems pretty good, thanks

I recommend the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner, # HM50002. This is a great option for what you are looking for. It has a clear picture and 3 color coded zones with alert. This system connects to your factory 7-way trailer connector for power and has two modes. It has a 3-1/2 inch color monitor. This system will require splicing with your 2005 Ram but it is simply splicing in the reverse function and ground (purple and white wires) to match function.

The Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors # HM60195VA is another great option with a slightly smaller monitor and a hardwired connection. All of the functions are identical except for the two separate modes.
