Question:
My braqke controller quit suddenly. The display shows normal operation except that the display is UPSIDE DOWN! neither normal or manual override applies voltage to the trailer brakes. Suggestion? Thanks

I was bench testing a Pilot 2-6 Brake Electronic Brake Controller, # 80550, a few days ago and the same thing happened to me. The display decided to turn upside down. On this brake controller, it can work in any direction, including upside down, if set that way. the display will then be upside down. You would have to turn the brake controller over for it to function properly. However, what I had to do was remove power to the brake controller (black wire) for a few minutes, and then set it up as if for the first time. That took care of the problem.
If the controller was bumped by mistake, fell, or was handled in any way, that could cause the internal positioning sensors to get a little confused. All you will have to do is reset it like explained above and then set it up according to the instructions linked below.
