Best Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller on Mercedes Benz GLE350 4Matic with Factory Tow Package

Question:
Electronic Brake Controller I have a Mercedes Benz GLE350 4Matic with a Factory installed Tow kit 7 point connector. I have found the x58/28 Port under the dash. Can I buy a Tekonsha P3 or P2 and a wiring harness and plug that in for my electronic break controller or do I need to use the Telkonsha RF Controller.

The Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # 90250 is the only recommended controller for your Mercedes-Benz GLE350 4Matic with the factory tow package. I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and he confirmed that while the Prodigy P2, # 90885, and P3, # 90195, can be hardwired into your vehicle, they have found that Mercedes will void your vehicle's warranties since the factory wiring has been tampered with.
Tekonsha does not make a plug and play wiring harness compatible with your car.
