Roof rack for 1995 Lexus LS 400 I would like to put a 55 lb kayak on the top of my LS 400. Is there a universal roof rack that I can use?

I did some checking and no one makes a custom fit or semi-custom fit roof rack for your 1995 Lexus LS 400. But you could use 2 of the Darby Turbo rack # DTA968. It uses a strap ran through the interior of the vehicle to secure the bar to the roof.
For a kayak carrier I recommend Rhino-Rack J-style carrier # S510. It has a 99 pound weight capacity so it can handle the 55 pound kayak with ease. It also comes with bow and stern tie downs and additional straps to secure the kayak to the roof.
