4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness for 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Question:
I have a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It has a 4 prong plug under the rear bumper that is not used and has a removable cover over it. I do not have a 2 prong plug to go with it. However in researching your web site I found your part number 118245 that looks like it is the easiest way to get a 4 prong flat plug installed on my FJ. Yet, when I use your search function for compatible parts for my FJ this part number doesnt show up. Can I use part number 118245 for my FJ? Thank you.

Tekonsha wiring harness # 118245 fits various Toyota and Lexus vehicles but for your 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser the harness that is recommended is Tekonsha part # 118405. This harness plus in at your taillights and requires only one wire be run up to the engine compartment for connection to the battery + terminal through the included fuse holder. I have linked a video and an installation article to help you see the process.
If you test the 4-prong connector under the bumper of your FJ with a circuit tester like # PTW2993 and find that it has the stop, tail and turn light signals you need for a 4-pole hookup then you could probably use part # 118245. But since this is not specified for the vehicle my contact at Tekonsha cannot guarantee it will work.
