Can a 2013 Ford F-150 4x4 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed Tow a 5th Wheel Trailer

2013 F150 4x4 supercab 4 door When it is stated that a 6foot bed is required does that mean that a 5foot 7inch bed is to small

Yes and no. Most slider hitches do not offer enough travel for a super short bed truck to make tight turns without the truck cab and trailer hitting each other. So in that situation you would have to use a fixed hitch and a Sidewinder pin box to move the pivot point of the trailer back.
There is now a Demco HiJacker hitch, # DM8550041, that slides automatically 22-1/2 inches so you will not have to replace the pin box with a Sidewinder. For your 2013 Ford F-150 you would also need installation kit # DM8551001. When the hitch is removed the bed will be basically clear because this installation kit mounts under the bed. I have linked a video of the hitch for you.
I also recommend adding an in-bed 7-Way trailer connector, # 41157, to make hooking up the trailer easier without the need of any kind of extension.
