Question:
I need to find a roof rack system to carry my kayak on my 2013 vw beetle. It requires a thule fit kit 1660 which is no longer available. Any solutions?

For your 2013 VW Beetle we show no roof rack fits. I checked directly with Thule and Yakima to confirm. However, we can still offer you a solution for transporting your kayak on your Beetle without having to first install a roof rack.
Foam block kayak carriers like # MPG152 are cost-effective and lightweight solutions for when a roof rack is either not available or is not preferred. All such carriers are shown on the linked page.
All foam carriers include tie-down straps.
It is a good idea to check your kayak's weight and also to review the car owner's manual to confirm the roof has the necessary weight capacity for your particular kayak.
