Can Trailer Hinge Kits be Used on Pontoon Boat Trailers

Question:

i have a 18 foot pontoon boat that I need about 1 foot less on the tongue to fit it into my garage. can these go on pontoon boat trailers?

Does your trailer have a pole tongue on it that isn't made of aluminum? If so then a hinge kit like the part # FHDPB330301 can be used assuming you stay under it's weight capacity of 5,000 lbs.

If your pole tongue measures 3 inch by 3 inch then this would be the correct kit.
