Brake Controller Setup for a 2007 Chevy Silverado New Body Style with Tow Package
Published 07/02/2008 >
Question:
Ladies and/or Gentlemen: I own a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body Style with the Tow package and the seven 7 wire harness already installed, it did not come with the optional ITBC Integrated Trailer Brake Control. Therefore Im looking to make a singular purchase that will make my installation as simple, painless and easy as is possible. Can you recommend any wiring harness or other hardware/software I will need to install the Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller into my pickup truck.

The New Body Style now comes with the wires for the brake controller loose underneath the steering wheel off to the left, so there is no adapter necessary. All you need to complete your installation is the Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller, item # 90195. We have a video of the installation on a 2008 Silverado for you to review prior to your installation. With your 7-Way connector installed at the factory you should not have to make the connections under the hood.
