HELP the key broke off in the lock on my thule rack, need to fix before trip Thursday!

Your best bet is to call a local locksmith if the key is stuck in the lock core of the Thule rack.
If not then you can get a replacement key by using the E or N number code on the lock core. THKEY___ will be the proper replacement. For example N030 like the one I've linked to this page will be # THKEYN030.
The universal key # 853-1251, you were looking at will allow you to remove the old unobstructed lock core and replace it with a new one like # THLOCKN030.
