Wiring Install Instructions for Bulldog A-Frame Jack Switch

Published 05/06/2016

Question:

I rewired both the on/off and the retract/extend switch on my Bulldog jack. When I hooked it up to power, the breaker keeps popping. When it resets itself, it trips instantly with the ground wire visibly moving. Is there a wiring schematic for the back of the switches out there that would let me verify if I have it wired correctly? When I swapped out the switches, I made sure to label everything but think something must of gone wrong.

I attached a couple pictures that will walk you through how to install the Bulldog Jack Switch part # BD500363 that you are trying to install.

You definitely have a short to ground on your current wiring setup and that is why the breaker is tripping like it is.
