Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2016 Toyota Prius V

Question:
Dear Etrailer, Thank you for your excellent website. I have a new gen. 4, 2016 Toyota Prius 2Eco Hatchback. My old rack, a Rola Rack fit the gen. 3 Prius well enough to carry my surf and SUP boards for the last few years. Now the front metal clamps do not fit securely because of a slighlty different curve to the side of the roof and door. The rear rack clamps fits reasonably well but not the front. Does Rola make a replacement set of clamps? The bases, towers and bars are all fine but not the clamps. If Rola doesnt make a 2016 Prius fit kit, do you know anyone who does? If I have to replace the Rola Racks, will the bare roof Rhino Racks suffice? Is there a trade in value for my Rola Racks? Sorry for so many questions! Thank you for your help with this matter. PK

I have a roof rack solution that will work great on your 2016 Toyota Prius V, but there isn't a fit kit available that will convert your current Rola to fit the new Prius.
The Rhino Rack roof rack part # RRRS696B is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and would be a great option. I really like this rack because the bars don't go through the feet of the rack which gives it more of an OEM style look that will create less wind noise and resistance. Your best option with your current Rola would be to try selling it on Prius forums or an online auction.
