I currently own a RhinoRack xtray I purchased from you which is mounted to a thule aeroblade/rapid crossroad 450R that is mounted to my 2015 4Runners roof rails. I want to keep the tray permanently on top of the vehicle, but then I have the problem of not being able to mount my current bike carriers/ski carriers etc. to the top of the tray. Have you every solved this problem for a client. Specifically, if I mount the xtray to a set of Toyota factory cross-bars instead of the aeroblades will the Thule Rapid Crossroad feet securely connect to the tubing of the xtray so I can have an optional roof rack connected on top of the xtray? Thanks for your help!

I have a solution for you, but there are no crossbars that are designed to mount to the frame of the Rhino-Rack Xtray Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket # RMCB02 or # RMCB. Thule offers no feet designed to mount to a roof basket and I cannot recommend you use the Rapid Crossroad feet to secure a roof rack to the top of the Xtray.
The best solution I can recommend is a different roof basket that features crossbars, like the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket with Extension Kit # Y07070-74. This cargo basket features round crossbars that will allow you to mount roof bike, boat, and ski carriers. A basket like the LoadWarrior will allow you to keep the basket on your 2015 Toyota 4Runner while also allowing you to carry other cargo such as bikes or ski.
