I would like to know if I would be able to install the Thule xporter pro ladder rack on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with 6.5 foot bed with a tool box

You could install the # TH500XT Thule Xporter Pro with a tool box, but to mount the box you'd need an extra long J hook or you'd need to drill down through the box, through the mount for the ladder rack and through your bed side.
TracRac has a much better solution. Their Pro 2 ladder rack, part # TH37003XT has a much larger capacity, at 1000 lbs versus 450 lb capacity of the Xsporter. The ladder rack includes integrated mounts that make installing your toolbox very easy.
