Question:
Hi, thank you for the reply to the previous persons question. I was able to get the rf and handheld to pair for about a 10 hour haul from northern Callifornia to Mexico stopping a number of times for rest breaks and fuel When we finallly got to our destination , we unhitched the traiker. The next day when we hitched back up the remote was flashing n.c. Tried repairing no luck. Any advice where to look for a short or wiring issue?

Based on my research, a "n.c." display that flashes continuously on the Tekonsha Prodigy RF # TK94FR most commonly indicates that there is no power to the controller's Power Module. I recommend testing your vehicle's trailer connector with a circuit tester, like # 40376, to ensure that there is power at the socket. On your vehicle's trailer socket, the 12V power pin should be located in the 1 o'clock position. If there is no power reaching the trailer socket, you will want to check the fuse or relays to make sure they aren't tripped or blown.
If power is reaching the Power Module, the next step is to check the trailer's braking wiring circuit. You will want to make sure there isn't a short on the brake wiring. A short is caused by cut, pinched, or exposed wire.
Other possible causes for the flashing n.c. display, as listed in the instruction manual for the RF # TK94FR are the trailer connector disconnected, the tow vehicle is off, the trailer brakes have lost their ground connection, or the RF has lost communication due to a signal loss or interference. I have attached these instructions for you to help provide further troubleshooting.
