Locating Wiring Grommets for Installation of Tow Ready Wire Harness 118501 in 2016 Hyundai Tucson

Question:
Hi I have a 2016 Tucson and I want to install the subject wire harness but for the life of me I cant find a rubber grommet anywhere at the back, under or inside the storage area. Can you send me a picture of where it is? Thanks....

When our tech team installed Tow Ready wiring harness # 118501 in a 2012 model year Tucson the grommet used for running the wiring through the trunk pan was located near the bottom of the frame rail. See the linked video at the 1:35 mark.
This may differ slightly on your 2016 model year since it is of a different generation of the Tucson. It is sometimes easier to find those grommets from underneath the car. Since we have not yet seen a 2016 Tucson for installation of this harness we have no photos/video showing the exact location of the grommet.
If there is no available wiring grommet on your car you can carefully check for obstructions in a suitable area and then carefully drill a hole to use for routing the wiring harness.
