4-Leaf Slipper Spring Recommendation for a 3,500 lb Axle Boat Trailer

Updated 03/17/2016 | Published 03/16/2016

Question:

4-Leaf Slipper Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - WIG4 Looking at purchasing the above for replacement on boat trailer. Weight limit is # 3420 per data tag on trailer, have 2 inch square axle, and dimensions of current springs line up approximately with specs for SP-040275. The exception is the springs that are currently installed are 5 leaf instead of 4. Is this an issue? Bought the boat used, so have no idea what previous owner did/did not do....................

As long as the capacity of the spring matches what the trailer needs it won't matter at all if there are a different number of leaves on the spring. Based on the weight of your trailer and the fact the # SP-040275 matches up dimensionally this spring would be the perfect spring to use.

I attached a review video for you to check out as well.
