Question:
My new prodigy#3 is wired into the cold side of my brake switch. Why is it when I use the Manuel lever my battery light, brake light, and ampmeter deflects when lever is moved to brake?

The Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195 is designed to activate the brake lights of the vehicle it is installed in when the manual override lever is applied so that if you were to apply the manual lever while traveling the people behind you would know that you were slowing down.
It does this by putting voltage back on the red wire of the controller when the lever is slid which then activates the stoplight circuit.
