I have a 2010 MB GLK with factory installed roof rails. can i use this thule roof bag without crossbars?

It is possible to use the Thule Interstate Roof Rack Cargo Bag, # TH869, on your 2010 Mercedes GLK with just the side rails that run front to back, but not recommended. Crossbars that run side to side on top of the vehicle prevent the bag from sliding forward and backward on the roof during acceleration and braking. You would want the bag to be stationary to prevent it from damaging the roof.
You can add cross bars to your GLK in order to use a cargo bag. You would need Thule Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401, 53" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420, as well as locks # TH450400
