Question:

2016 Lexus GX 460. I need a trailer hitch that is least visible and does not require modifying the fascia. Suggestions? if so, please send me installation instructions so I can determine if this is something I can do.

The trailer hitch that will be the least visible on your 2016 Lexus GX 460 is the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13043. The end of the receiver on this hitch does not extend as far from the rear mounting holes as the receiver on the Draw-Tite # 75685.

Since none of these trailer hitches feature a crossbar, the only part of the hitch that may be visible is the receiver tube.

I went out to our warehouse to measure how far the ends of the receivers are from the mounting holes. The Curt # C13043 measures 2-1/2 inches from the center of the rear mounting holes to the end of the receiver. The Draw-Tite # 75685 hitch measures 3-3/4 inches from the rear mounting holes to the end of the receiver.

I have attached a diagram showing these measurements for you.

One important thing to keep in mind, is the clearance that is needed for hitch accessories, like bike racks and cargo carriers, to clear the back bumper. The Draw-Tite # 75685 hitch will require less distance for the accessories to clear the bumper than the Curt # C13043 hitch.
