I am not sure if I have to rotate the steering wheel 360 degrees or not.. and if I do WHY. I truly appreciate this opportunity to ask a question. Thank you.

The purpose of rotating your steering wheel when installing Master Lock Advanced Security Quad Hook Vehicle Steering Wheel Lock # 252DAT is to engage the lock that is built-in to the steering column. Once that is done you'll install the Master Lock. The installed quad-hook lock prevents rotation of the wheel in the event that the built-in lock was defeated and this is the security mechanism that prevents a thief from driving the vehicle.
