The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002 installs easily at the 7-way trailer connector at the rear of your 2007 Toyota Tundra. The camera system simply plugs in at the round U.S. Car connector at the back of your 7-way like that shown in the linked image.
You can also hardwire this camera system by making just two connections. You'll need to make a ground connection and also a reverse light signal connection at the car's taillights. The system has a 2-wire cable with black and red wires that lead into the two connectors. You'll separate the connectors from the cable at their small plugs. The Red wire connects to the reverse light circuit and the black wire connects to the vehicle as ground.
You'll need a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wires at the taillights to find the wire that carries a signal ONLY when the car is in reverse gear. You'll need a competent helper to carefully shift the car into reverse while the brake pedal is pressed. This will allow you to test the wires to find the reverse light wire. I linked a video showing how to use the tester.
