Question:

I have a 2012 Chevy Impala and I want to put a hitch on it what is the difference in the Curt, Hidden Hitch, and Draw tight. Are they all the same just different product or is there something different about them also the wiring is different for each one why is that.

Hidden Hitch and Draw Tite are both made by the same company so basically they are the exact same with the exception that the Hidden Hitch part # 90137 (no longer available) comes with a ball mount and a pin and clip and the Draw Tite part # 36407 does not come with this.

Curt is it's own company so the part # C12252 would be similar but made by a different company. The biggest disadvantage to Curt is the requirement of a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 when used with a non-supported accessory like a bike rack.

If the plan is to do some towing I would recommend the # 90137 since it comes with a ball mount or if the plan is to carry something like a bike rack I would go with the Draw Tite.

For a hitch ball you would need the part # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or part # 19258 for a 2 inch ball. For trailer wiring you would want the part # 118417.
