Can the trailer hitch code 36297 be installed on a 2002 Volvo? I have purchased an e-trailer hitch for my 2010 Prius IV for a bike rack and it works great. However its towing rating is limited. I would like to use my Volvo X-country for towing a small trailer instead.

Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36297 is listed as a fit for the 2002 Volvo Cross Country. It also fits the 2002 V70 which appears to have been a separate model.
Since you plan on doing some towing you can use 1-7/8 inch ball # 19256 or 2 inch ball # 19258 depending on the requirements of the trailer coupler. And to add a 4-Way flat connector at the back you can use # C59236.
Be sure to consult the vehicle owner's manual for specific information on towing with your Volvo.
