Question:
I just purchased a 2015 Tacoma double cab. The bed has the factory rail slots that accommodate sliding mounting hooks. I am thinking about buying one of the old style Thule Xporter, the one with the 45 degree stability bar on each upright Used, great shape. Will the mounting hardware for the 2015 Tacoma work on my application?

The Toyota Tacoma Mounting Kit # THXK3 is designed to mount the Xsporter Pro # TH500XT. I spoke with Thule to see if it is compatible with older models of the Xsporter, and they do not guarantee the # THXK3 will work with older models of the Xsporter.
We have not tested the compatibility of the older Xsporters with the # THXK3 kit to know if they will work together.
In order to use the factory installation rails in your Tacoma for an Xspoter, you will want to use the Xspoter Pro. For both the Thule Xsporter Pro and Toyota Tacoma Mount Kit you will want part # TH500XT-XK3.
