Can Changes to Transmission Using an Edge Programmer be Changed or are they Permanent

Question:
I have a 2008 duramax with the edge tuner . On the programer there is a custom option to change transmission. How does this affect performance and can it be set back?

Any tune or setting change you make using your Edge programmer can be changed back or to a different setting. Changes to the transmission include controlling when it shifts and the firmness of the shift points. This will not harm the transmission and in some tunes it is necessary to work properly with the other changes a programmer is making.
Before any changes are made the programmer copies the stock computer settings of the truck and saves them to be recalled and applied when needed.
