The Fastway E-Series # FA42-00-2800 and the # DT-ALBM6800-3S self locking ball mount have the same 10K capacity (which depends on the ball used) and the same 8 inch drop or 9 inch rise.
The self locking ball mount has a built in lock that secures the ball mount in the receiver hitch. There's an additional lock that secures the ball and the ball platform to the ballmount, preventing either from being removed without the key. The self locking ball mount includes all three trailer ball sizes, 1-7/8, 2 and 2-5/16 inch.
The E series ball mount doesn't have integrated locks, and would only include 2 and 2-5/16 inch trailer balls.
Which is better? If you're looking for something that's moderately inexpensive, the E Series ball mount would be better for you. If you're wanting something that includes all three ball sizes and features integrated locks, the Self-Locking model would be best for you.
