my even brake will air up twice and then red light goes on then stops I did have to replace my five fire wire because it was damaged on one end if I just buy a new transmitter do you think this will take care of the problem

If damaged wiring/plugs were used or there was a short because of a wiring issue it could cause the problem you are facing with the Even Brake, # RM-9400. I have also included a link to the manual for the Even Brake which has a troubleshooting section that might help. If in the process of troubleshooting the handheld unit will not make contact with the base unit then it is likely the transmitter. If you need to replace the transmitter for the Even Brake it is # RM-9420.
It is also possible that the vehicle needs a stop light switch kit or a brake light relay. If you can tell me the year, make, and model I can see if there are any special requirements needed.
