Troubleshooting Screws That Become Loose Every 150 Miles On Fastway Adjustable Aluminum Ball Mount

Had this for 2 years now. Losing confidence in it because the set screws loosen up after 150 miles. I am going back to fixed 4 in

I called my contact at Fastway about the trouble you are having with the Self-Locking, Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount, part # DTALBM6600-3S.
They told me that the only set screws on this mount are under the warning labels on the mount and used to hold the locks in place. If those are the problem, they said you can use a bit of red Loctite to put on the threads of the set screws when installing them and it will hold them in place for quite a period of time.
If you are not asking about the set screws under the warning stickers, you can send a photo of the ball mount with the screws you are having issues with and we can figure this out.
