Can Fifth Wheel Install Kit From 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Be Reused on a 2015 Silverado

Will my existing kit from my 2006 Chevy 2500HD short bed work on my new 2015. I see different part numbers, but will it work regardless? If not, can I buy just the brackets, as the other parts bolts, washers, spacers... seem to be the same? Part # to order?

The fifth wheel hitch installation kit used on your 2006 Silverado isn't compatible with your 2015 Silverado, I'm sorry to say. This is because of the differences in the truck frame that occurred in the 2007 model year. Also, the hardware used to install the fifth wheel hitch in your 2006 Silverado is meant for a one time use only. It isn't meant to be reused.
If your 2015 Silverado is a 2500 model, you'll need the # C16411-204 install kit. If you have a 1500 model, use the Curt # C16400-204 which would be compatible.
To install a 7-way trailer connector in the truck bed, I'd recommend the # 41157.
