Question:

I bought a used Spare Me 963Pro, it has the exact mounting plate that you show as the upgraded one but it does not fit! There is a protrusion on the car that the mounting plate will not fit over no matter how I try. Whats up?

Expert Reply:

We have installed the Thule Spare Me, # TH963PRO, with the updated mounting plate on a 2008 Toyota RAV4. I have included a link to a video for you showing it.

If you have the original Spare Me 963 bike rack then you would just need the new mounting plate # 753-3532 and that will be all you need to fit the rack to your 2008 RAV4.
