Question:
Does this hitch fit below the bumper like many after market hitches or does it come out of a hole you cut in the lower bumper like the Subaru dealer installed hitch does?

Expert Reply:
To install the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75673, you will not have to trim or cut out a hole in the rear bumper or fascia on your 2010 Subaru Outback Wagon. There is some minor heat shield trimming required, however. I have included a link to the installation instructions below that shows where the trimming will occur.
If you plan to tow with this hitch, I recommend adding etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 and Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118467. This wiring plugs in line with a connector already on the vehicle, and provides a 4-Way trailer connector at the rear of the vehicle. I have included a links to the installation details and a video installation of this wiring below, as well as to some general information on towing.
