Yes, you can use the Pro Series 15K 5th Wheel Hitch and Installation Kit, # PS30128, with your 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab with the 8ft bed, but you will need additional brackets to complete the installation.

If you have the 1500 model or the 2500 or 3500 model without overload springs, then you will also need to pick up the Semi-Custom Reese Bracket for Dodge Ram Trucks, # RP58023. This bracket will replace the passenger side frame bracket for the rear base rail.

If you have the 2500 or 3500 model with overload springs, then you will need the Reese Semi-Custom Brackets for Dodge Ram Trucks, # RP58186. These brackets will replace both frame brackets for the rear rail.
