Can a Prodigy RF Brake Controller Work on a Truck with Integrated Brake Controller
Published 09/18/2015 >
Question:
have a prodigy rf brake controller on my trailer. Hooked up to my truck and works fine. love it. a friend wants to borrow the trailer. he has a gm installed hard wired brake controller. can he plug the prodigy rf into his 7 pin connector and happily drive off with my trailer?? Will my cigarette sized remote work OK for him?? if so, i assume his GM hard wired controller will not work. Thanks,

You can use the Prodigy RF brake controller part # TK94FR with a truck that has a brake controller installed on it already.
Since the trailer plugs into the RF and then it plugs into the truck any brake output signal from the controller would stop at the truck 7-way. Or, if you wanted to use the truck's controller instead you would just need to bypass the RF and plug it straight into the truck.
